Highest OTT deal in Indian Cinema! Netflix is spending a shocking amount to buy ‘Pushpa 2’

Among the upcoming releases in Indian cinema, Pushpa 2 is the most awaited film among the audience, regardless of South or North. The reason for this is the huge popularity of Pushpa, which was released in 2021 and directed by Sukumar, starring Allu Arjun. The Hindi version of the film entered the 200 crore club! Now the wait for the second part is giving the producers a huge advantage in the sale of various rights.
The amount earned by the film through the North Indian distribution rights was reported earlier. Anil Tatani-owned AA Films has acquired the North Indian distribution rights of Pushpa 2 for Rs 200 crore. Now the reports about the amount earned by the film through the OTT deal have also come out. Pushpa 2 has bagged the highest amount of OTT rights for any film in Indian cinema.
According to a report by Pink Villa, the base price of Netflix’s deal is 250 crores. Depending on the success of the film in theatres, it will go up to 300 crores. According to the report of leading tracker Saknilkin, the OTT rights amount of Pushpa 2 is 275 crores. The leap of Pushpa 2 is far behind the previous record. 170 crores was earned by RRR which set the previous record in OTT rights. Meanwhile, the release of the film is on August 15.
