The Kapil Show: Ranbir Kapoor recalls getting thrashed by Dad Rishi Kapoor for THIS reason

Ranbir Kapoor appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show with Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahani, where he talked about his father Rishi Kapoor.

During the episode, RK , Neetu and Ridhima shared many incidents from their life and about the late Rishi Kapoor. While narrating an incident about Rishi Kapoor, he shared, “Before even social media existed or became popular, papa was the original troll. So, at night, after having two glasses of lemonade (laughs)… the first call he used to make was to his younger sister, who is our aunt. He used to troll her for an hour, he would tease her casually. As an audience, when Mom, Riddhima, and I sat together at night, we found it enjoyable, but she would be in tears. Then she would call their mom, and then my mom, and then they would scold my dad. This was a daily routine. For us it was very enjoyable to see our father, playfully teasing his sisters and friends. He was that kind of person.”

Going on to narrate the incident, Ranbir Kapoor recalled, “It was Diwali puja at RK studios, and Papa was very religious. I think I was 8 or 9 years old, and I had stepped inside the temple wearing shoes. I got a smack on my head.”
